Solar Style Patio Light Fixtures

Patio string lights are becoming more main stream as people realize how much they can offer. Patios are places of function and frequent use, which is why a great importance is placed on lighting them properly. Interestingly enough, most people only use their patio door wall lights. These lights can be uneven and are restricted to several feet away from the door. Patio lights can be used to supplement these fixtures and expand the usable area of a patio. One of the best types of patio lights look much like the ones we use around the holidays. Known as string lights, these systems are sleek, easy to set up and can be very colorful.

Patio string lights are so versatile because of their design. Their long and flexible cords host many light bulbs which light up brightly. In solar systems, or when using solar deck lights, only LED bulbs are employed. These bulbs can come in every color of the rainbow. To further enhance their appearance, plastic covers are often placed over pure white bulbs. These covers come in shapes ranging from your favorite animal to an interesting shape. Solar lights with covers can feature the same object, or varied shapes, over each bulb, with each being in the same or a different color.

On the end of every solar string light is a module which hosts a solar panel. This panel gives the string all the power it needs to operate. This means that you can place the string wherever you please without having to send a cord across the floor of your patio. Awnings make great mounting points for string lights because they put them in a high location. Mounting them can be done using some clips or nails. Poles or columns allow the lights to be wrapped around without needing clips. And finally, solar patio lighting strings can be strung into bushes and trees.
