Outdoor String Lights aren’t Just for Christmas

Outdoor string lights are everywhere at Christmas time, but you don’t have to limit yourself to enjoying them only a couple of months out of the year. At Easter, which is especially fun for kids, look for strings of decorated eggs, bunnies and other motifs and drape them over a hedge, around an outdoor tree or the edge of your roof or deck. Outdoor string lighting which utilizes solar lights means you can wrap them around a tree, your mailbox post or a light pole anywhere on your property without the need for extension cords or wiring.

If you enjoy St. Patrick’s Day, why not have a week of fun with outdoor lighting and strings o’ shamrocks or Leprechauns? Valentine’s Day is the perfect time for strands of hearts, cupids and even strings of chocolate candies as a no-calorie holiday treat. You can even find holiday lights in the shape of turkeys and pilgrims for Thanksgiving, flags for the Fourth of July and things like ghosts, pumpkins, black cats, witches and other spooky motifs for Halloween.

And you don’t have to wait for a holiday to break out some fun string lighting. Whatever you love is probably represented in a strand of novelty lights somewhere. Animals, birds, marine life, insects, hobbies, electronics and every manner of object you can imagine can be found in outdoor string lights and decorations. That means that a party for someone with a particular interest can be personalized to their tastes with an inexpensive strand of lights.

For a really fun selection, look online at stores that sell RV patio lights. There are often quirky choices available in lights designed to decorate the outside of a camper, that you might not find in traditional lighting stores, with everything from margaritas to hot chili peppers in quirky strands of low-cost, low-maintenance string lights.
